EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of UL 1741 standard. The UL 1741 standard covers inverters, converters, charge controllers and interconnection system equipment (ISE) for use in stand-alone (off grid) or interactive (grid connected) power systems.
Interactive inverters, converters and ISE are designed to be operated in parallel with an electric power system (EPS) to power common loads.
These requirements for interactive equipment are intended to complement and be used in conjunction with the Standard for Interconnecting Distributed Resources with Electrical Power Systems, IEEE 1547, and the Standard for Conformity Test Procedures for Equipment Interconnecting Distributed Resources with Electrical Power Systems, IEEE 1547.1.
These requirements include inverters, converters, charge controllers, and interconnection system equipment (ISE) in system-specific combinations for stand-alone use or electric power system (EPS), usually combining flat-plate photovoltaic modules and inverters to provide AC output power for interaction with the electrical grid. It covers power systems combining AC modules and other alternative energy sources.
These requirements also cover power systems that combine standalone power supplies in system-specific combinations with inverters, converters, charge controllers, and interconnection system equipment (ISE).
The products covered by these requirements are intended to be installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. These requirements also cover quick-closing equipment and systems.
