This standard deals with vibrations that are considered important. Vibration measurements are covered in EN 1915-3. No extra requirements regarding noise are provided other than those given in EN 1915-4.
The minimum basic criteria are considered of primary importance in the provision of safe, convenient, economical and practical luggage and implement tractors. Deviations should only occur after careful consideration, extensive testing, risk assessment and service evaluation have shown that alternative methods or conditions are satisfactory. Such deviations are outside the scope of this standard and a manufacturer should be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of protection.
Provision will be made for storing operating instructions near the driver's accommodation. It must not obstruct the driver's normal field of operation and vision and must not constitute a dangerous obstacle in the event of a frontal impact.
