SAE ARP 598 Aerospace Microscopic Sizing and Particulate Contamination Count Test for Fluid Power Systems

EUROLAB, together with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of SAE ARP 598 testing. This SAE Aerospace recommended practice (ARP) defines materials, apparatus, and procedure for sizing and counting particle contamination of 5 μm or larger.

SAE ARP 598 Aerospace Microscopic Sizing and Particulate Contamination Count Test for Fluid Power Systems

This test describes a self-checking procedure for the particle counting method for the determination of particulate contaminants five microns in size or larger in hydraulic fluids.

It can count particulate matter in samples from fluid power systems defined and projected beyond these for five standard ranges defined by the 4059 classes of AS1638 or NAS 12 and therefore serve as the primary document for determining acceptability.

It can also detect, but not measure, evidence of abnormal amounts of water, other liquids, fine particles, and other materials, particularly fibers and metals. Applicable to all military, civil, spacecraft and test equipment.

EUROLAB assists manufacturers with SAE ARP 598 test compliance. Our test experts, with their professional working mission and principles, provide you, our manufacturers and suppliers, the best service and controlled testing process in our laboratories. Thanks to these services, businesses receive more effective, high-performance and quality testing services and provide safe, fast and uninterrupted service to their customers.
