EUROLAB Laboratory provides accredited testing and conformity assessment services within the scope of MIL T 81772 standard. This specification covers requirements for three types of thinners for use in reducing marine and aircraft coatings.
Thinner within the scope of this specification is designed for use in reducing the viscosity of aircraft coatings.
Type 1 - Polyurethane Thinner
MIL-T-81772 B Type-1 PU thinner is used to dilute polyurethane paints to reduce spray viscosity. These thinners are designed for use with MIL-PRF-85285 PU Topcoats and AS 51 PU Primers. It is used in air defense system, aircraft renewal, body repair, civil aviation, cryogenics, land combat vehicles, military ballistics, military vehicles, missile system, naval system, radars, radars, land combat vehicles, space aviation.
Type 2 - Epoxy Thinner
IS-81772 epoxy thinner, conforming to MIL-T-237 Type II, is used to improve the spray properties and film appearance of epoxy coatings. IS-237 is compatible with MILPRF-22750 high solid epoxy coatings and MIL-PRF-23377 high solid epoxy primer.
Type 3 - Acrylic and Alkyd Thinner
Thinner within the scope of this specification is designed for use in reducing the viscosity of aircraft coatings. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Hot surfaces can ignite the liquid even in the absence of sparks or flames. Extinguish pilot lights, cigarettes and all other sources of ignition before use and until all vapors are gone. Keep containers tightly closed and upright to prevent leakage.
