MIL-T-83133D Turbine Fuel - Aviation - Kerosene Types

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of MIL-T-83133D testing. This method describes a procedure for determining the filterability properties and solid contamination of jet fuel, singly or simultaneously.

MIL-T-83133D Turbine Fuel - Aviation - Kerosene Types

The aim is to detect and prevent contaminants in jet fuel that can cause clogging and rupture of ground filtration equipment, thereby affecting aircraft flight reliability.

3,79 liters (one gallon) of jet fuel is filtered through a membrane filter in the laboratory. The time required to filter this volume is measured in minutes and the solids content is determined gravimetrically.

Membrane filter: White, smooth 47 mm diameter, nominal pore size 0,8 micron. The membrane must be approved by ASTM for use with ASTM D2276.

Filtration apparatus: of the types shown in ASTM D2276. It consists of a filter-supported funnel and funnel base so that a membrane filter can be securely locked or clamped between the sealing surfaces and the bottom of the funnel. The funnel and the funnel base will be of stainless steel or glass construction.
