HIRF Test (High Density Radiating Areas)

The High Density Radiating Areas (HIRF) test is a form of EMC testing that applies to equipment subject to extreme electromagnetic environments or critical equipment whose failure may be dangerous to human safety.

HIRF requirements are applied to ensure that aircraft electrical and electronic systems continue to operate safely without errors.
