EUROLAB Laboratory offers shock testing with the use of our electrodynamic shakers as well as our pneumatic shock machine. In addition, EUROLAB is equipped to generate and analyze Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) shock events. The latest revisions of many federal and military specifications require or offer shock response spectrum as an alternative to the typical classical shock test.
Our equipment is capable of delivering shock impulses up to 3.000 Gs. Shock testing on our electrodynamic shakers can be performed during vibration testing prior to axis rotation, greatly reducing testing time. Our staff has over two decades of experience in the performance of the SRS shock. Detailed SRS shock profiles are a specialty in Keystone Compliance.

Shock Test Overview
According to MIL-STD 810 Method 516, shock tests are performed to ensure that the material can withstand relatively infrequent shocks or transient vibrations encountered in transport, shipping, and service environments. Shock tests are also used to measure the fragility of an item so that packaging can be designed to test the strength of devices that attach equipment to platforms that can protect it and, if necessary, collapse.
Mechanical shocks will excite an equipment item to respond at both imperative and natural frequencies. This response can cause, among other things:
