Ore Analysis

Mineral is a substance that occurs in the earth's crust and occurs as a result of various geological processes in important time periods, that is, naturally occurring. Almost every commercial substance manufactured today is produced from a specific mineral or a combination of various minerals. Nothing is unthinkable without minerals. Economically, it also forms the backbone of countries, because the economic, infrastructure and industrial growth of a country depends on its mineral reserves and the power to extract and use them.

Ore Analysis

Minerals have different and characteristic physical and chemical properties. The primary sources of all naturally occurring metals in the earth are minerals. Minerals are grouped as metallic or non-metallic depending on their composition. Minerals can consist of just one metal or a number of different metals. Mineral studies are called mineralogy.

All ores are minerals, but not all minerals are ore. An ore is a type of rock in which metals can be extracted efficiently and contain a mineral. In other words, an ore is a mineral source containing a high amount of metal for a profitable business. In this context, the main determining factor is the beneficial mineral concentration in the ore.

In an ore deposit, together with the beneficial mineral, the useless minerals, which express rocky impurities such as clay, sand, stone, and other useless silicates, coexist. The rate of useless minerals differs from one geographic location to another. Also, the concentration of extractable metals is different.

For example, bauxite and clay are both aluminum minerals. However, clay cannot be used while bauxite is used for the commercial removal of aluminum. Therefore, bauxite is an ore and clay is not an ore.

The ore analysis carried out in laboratories developed in this regard is of great importance in determining whether the ore can be processed and productive.

Ore analysis services are also provided by our organization within the scope of mine testing services.
