In the TS 3957 standard published by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), plasters, which are among the first aid materials used in medicine, are defined, classified and information is provided on their properties, sampling methods, inspection and test methods, and the way they are placed on the market.
While preparing this standard, the following foreign standards were taken as basis:
A plaster or adhesive dressing can be used to cover minor cuts and scrapes. The plaster is produced in several different sizes as well as different shapes for areas such as elbows, heels and toes. For example, foodies should cover wounds with a blue, visible and waterproof plaster.
In general, plasters are made from a piece of gauze and have an adhesive backing. They are usually wrapped in single sterile packages. Plaster suitable for every situation and environment is produced. There are fabric plasters for daily use and wash-proof plasters when working outside or in damp conditions. In addition to blue hydrogel burn plasters that protect against minor burns, plasters suitable for the ketring industry are produced.
Our organization, among the numerous test, measurement, analysis and evaluation studies it provides for businesses in various sectors, also provides testing services for plasters among first aid materials, within the scope of TS 3957 standard, with its trained and expert staff and advanced technological equipment.
