Accelerated Aging Shelf Life Test

Accelerated aging and shelf life tests can help determine how environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light will affect the life and integrity of your product.

Accelerated Aging Shelf Life Test

Medical Device Accelerated Aging

Accelerated aging is especially important for medical device manufacturers to estimate the useful life of a product when it is not yet determined in normal use. Our medical device testers can help estimate the life and safety of your product.

Our accelerated aging test methods use environmental chambers to determine the effects of temperature, humidity, UV exposure (UVA or UVB) and Cool White UV (higher intensity cranked interior lighting) in compressed time and in the lab environment. The most common accelerated aging test we have performed is ASTM F1980.

Shelf Life Test

The shelf life test helps determine whether the packaging can protect a perishable product. The packaging material must insulate from extreme temperatures, and sensitive products can be devastated by moisture.

EUROLAB is equipped with a wide range of environmental chambers and test setups to simulate such events and help determine the shelf life and durability of your product.

What is the duration of the accelerated aging or shelf life test?

The calculation of the length of the test time is derived from the Arrhenius reaction rate function. The final test period is up to you, but there are many industry-recognized standards.

Our specialists can use their experience and known industry standards to decide which tests best suit your product. You can contact us for more information about our accelerated aging and shelf life testing.
