EN 12764, a European standard, describes the eddy bath properties and test methods of medical equipment used for health purposes.

This standard has been published in our country by the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) with the following title: TS EN 12764 Sanitaryware - Technical features for whirlpool baths. This standard was later repealed by TSE.

However, as it is covered by the New Approach Directives in force in the European Union countries, the transition period remains in effect until the end.

The standard in question describes the requirements for whirlpool (whirlpool) baths with a certain high nominal voltage in accordance with the hygiene instructions of sanitary appliances used in the laboratory. These baths generally have a nominal voltage of 250 V for single-phase devices and 480 V for other devices.

Jacuzzis, which are used for the purpose of treatment in residences, personal care and health institutions, are subject to this standard. In these jacuzzis, the water is kept in constant motion by mechanical means and applies a massage movement that promotes improved circulation and relaxation. In fact, a jacuzzi bath is a hammam equipped with jacuzzi jets. The jets are placed on the side of the bathtub, which are then operated by the controls mounted on the bath deck or near the bathroom. Hydromassage bathtubs are operated by air and water.
