AIS 138 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations Test Standard

Electric road vehicles refer to all road vehicles, including plug-in hybrid road vehicles, that derive all or some of their energy from on-board batteries.
Matter covered includes the characteristics and operating conditions of the supply device and specifications that must be observed by the vehicle with regard to connection to the vehicle, operators and third party electrical safety and EVSE-AC only when electric road vehicles (EVs) are grounded.

Requirements for specific inputs, connectors, plugs and sockets for electric road vehicles are specified in AIS-038. This standard does not cover all maintenance-related safety issues.

This standard does not apply to trolleybuses, rail vehicles and all-terrain industrial vehicles.

EUROLAB provides AIS-138 testing services to businesses within the scope of electric vehicle charging station tests.
