CS 11809 EMC Test Requirements

In May 2009, Chrysler released the new CS-11809 specification. CS-11809 is the latest EMC and Electrical testing specification for 2013 and later vehicle models. Although this specification is for FY2013 vehicles, Chrysler currently requires all suppliers offering test plans for DV and PV testing to use the CS-11809 as the reference standard.

CS 11809 EMC Test Requirements

This standard is evaluated according to the test procedures involved, refers to International EMC, standards where possible, but also describes internal test procedures if necessary. Specifies EMC requirements for all Chrysler automotive products.

Validation results (Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV)) should only be obtained from test sites. Chrysler allows processing in a lab for certain test procedures that are recognized through EMC lab recognition. This process replaces the old Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP).

Preferred supplier and third-party commercial testing labs required to hold ISO 17020 accreditation must be an accreditation body accredited by Chrysler.
