Supply Specification for DBL 7760 Brake Fluids

EUROLAB, together with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of DBL 7760 testing. This specification applies to all glycol ether-based hydraulic brake fluids and borates. These brake fluids are for operating hydraulic brake systems, hydraulic clutch systems and differential locks.

Unless otherwise stated, the brake fluid requirements described in this standard apply to brake fluid as supplied (in unloaded tankers or containers).

New test plates will be used for corrosion tests. In this case, the test plates should be dried for one hour immediately after grinding into individual plates, then finished and sent directly to the test.

Longer storage of test specimens and reuse of previously tested test specimens will be excluded. The SBR sleeves used must comply with ISO 4925 specifications. Pretreatment/cleaning of used polymers/elastomers is not permitted.

For the initial approval of a brake fluid for Mercedes-Benz vehicles, in addition to the tests specified in the DBL, further approval tests must be carried out on the vehicle at component level and functional level.

These tests must be carried out partly at the component suppliers and partly at the test site of the Daimler Group. All results of these tests must be disclosed and submitted to the Daimler Group for approval. The tests are named and described below.
