DC 10615 Electrical System Performance Requirements for Electrical - Electronic Components

This common engineering standard defines electrical performance requirements for electrical and electronic components used in Dimler Chrysler vehicles and applies to all electrical and electronic components designed for a nominal voltage of 12V referenced in this standard.

The requirements and test methods in this common engineering standard are based, wherever possible, on international standards. Starters, snowplows and similar high current motors are not covered by this standard unless they contain integrated electronics. These devices are subject to vehicle-level evaluation. Alternators are covered by their own specifications, which refer to this specification for electrical requirements and all EMC requirements.

Not all requirements apply to all electrical or electronic components; applicable tests will be specified in the DUT product specification. See Appendix A for default requirements for specific component types. In the event of a conflict between this standard and any of the documents referred to, the requirements of this standard will prevail for regulatory requirements. Daimler Chrysler may change specific requirements for a particular component as a result of testing to this standard.
