FLT BO 131-03 Internal Odor Test

The FLT BO 131-03 Interior Odor Test describes the process used to test for interior odor that conducts air into the main cabin compartments of Ford cars. BO-131 Ford Interior Odor Test is done as follows:

Sample material is suspended on a wire ring and suspended in a jar (with or without water)

The sample is exposed to one of the 4 conditions specified for a predetermined time and temperature.

Evaluation of the odor from the jar is done by a third-party evaluator using a 6-point scale to evaluate the intensity, ranging from imperceptible to extremely offensive.
