The material content and hardness of the hose are defined by the hose's Construction and Temperature class designations. Hoses are defined according to their structure and temperature capacity. Hoses for applications subject to maximum continuous operating temperatures of +110°C with intermittent operation up to a maximum of +90°C and maximum continuous operating temperatures of up to +150°C with intermittent operation at temperatures up to +125°C suitable.
For applications subject to maximum continuous operating temperatures of +175°C with intermittent operation at temperatures up to maximum C or +150°C depending on the Temperature Rating of the hose. The fuel hose is defined as GMW 16709 Type YZ; where Y defines the temperature capacity of the hose.
This standard covers the material properties of fuel hoses used with gasoline or diesel fuel in automotive fuel systems. Unless otherwise stated on the part drawing, all hoses must be considered conductive and must meet the conductivity requirements of this specification.
