VW 01155 Customer-Specific Requirements Test Standard for Suppliers

This Volkswagen (VW) standard contains a normative appendix describing the requirements for the preparation of material data sheets in the International Materials Data System (IMDS) and the Materials Information Sheet System (MISS).

This standard applies to all substances, preparations and products supplied to the customer with the vehicle. The data is part of the initial sample test report. They must be present in full at the time of initial sample testing in the accepted MDS form.

The specifications in the drawings and in the standard describe the requirements that must be met by the supply item.

The supplier should develop an economical maintenance concept taking into account the latest technology. The supplier must perform the required tests and provide evidence of initial sample releases and technical engineering releases if requested by the purchaser.

Changes to a supply item, eg design, material and composition, manufacturing process, previous suppliers or place of manufacture, require prior written consent from the orderer.
