VW 80300 Electrical and Electronic Components in Motor Vehicles Up to 3,5 Tonne - General Requirements, Test Conditions and Tests

The VW 80300 standard, developed by the Volkswagen automobile company, describes the requirements and test conditions for electrical, electronic and mechatronic components and systems for use in motor vehicles up to 3,5 tons, and defines test methods. Additional or deviating requirements, test conditions and tests are contained in the relevant performance standards.

The requirements, test conditions and tests described in the first part of this standard relate to the 12 Volt electrical system. Unless otherwise stated, these tests are not service life tests. These tests are used to check some required properties of the component.
