EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of the GMW 3211 standard. This standard is used to determine the stretching and curing properties of textiles, leather, backed vinyl and carpet subjected to certain static tensile stresses.
A tester consisting of an upper fixed clamp and a lower clamp with clamping portions at least 80 mm wide. The lower clamp can accommodate the addition of weights and can be lowered slowly at a steady pace until the required weight is suspended. At the end of the test, the suspended weight can still be lifted at a constant speed.
The amount of stretch of a test specimen is measured after a predetermined tensile load has been applied for a specified period of time. After the tensile load is removed and the sample is allowed to heal for a prescribed time, the set amount is measured.
