EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of GM 9071P standard. This standard specifies the test method to be used to evaluate the adhesion properties of painted metal and plastic before and after environmental testing.
This standard describes the cross scan band test (Method A) and the Xcut band test (Method B). Paint systems must meet Method A or Method B requirements.
Unless otherwise specified, use the Xcut tape test (Method B) when the dry film thickness is greater than 125 µm. If neither Method A nor Method B is usable due to size or shape restrictions (typically found in small parts), the meaning of the test should be used.
