The United States Automotive Research Council (USCAR) is the United States Council for Automotive Research LLC, a joint technology company of Ford Motor Company, General Motors, and Stellantis. The United States Automotive Research Council (USCAR) was founded in 1992. Its goal is to further strengthen the technology base of the US auto industry through joint research and development.
USCAR is governed by the three-member USCAR Council, which includes senior technology executives from each of the US automakers. Council members create value for their companies through their collective leadership. They establish USCAR policy, appoint representatives to various teams, and provide strategic direction and guidance to the organization.
