EN ISO 13032 Petroleum Products - Test for Low Sulfur Concentration in Automotive Fuels

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN ISO 13032 standard. This standard specifies an energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) test method for the determination of sulfur content in automobile gasoline containing up to 3,7% (m/m) oxygen.

According to this test method, other products can be analyzed and other sulfur content can be determined; however, precision data for products other than automotive fuels and results outside the specified range have not been established for this International Standard.

For reasons of spectral overlap, this International Standard is not applicable to leaded automotive gasoline, gasoline with a content greater than 8 mg/kg, or to products and raw materials containing higher concentrations of lead, silicon, phosphorus, calcium, potassium or halides. more than one-tenth the measured sulfur concentration or 10 mg/kg, whichever is greater.

For the purposes of this International Standard, the terms "% ( m / m )" and "% ( V / V )" are used to represent the mass fraction μ and volume fraction ϕ of a material, respectively.
