GMW 15633 Test Standard for Engine Compartment Shielding

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of GMW 15633 standard. This standard provides a method for testing the Shield-Engine Compartment for stiffness, stability against permanent deformation under static load.

Applies to the entire Shield-Engine Compartment or any similar underbody shield or skid plate. Alternative testing facilities and equipment may also be used. However, all measurement variables specified in this standard will be accurately determined by their physical definition.

Test Setup, attach the shield to the fixture as shown to represent the vehicle setup. The geometry of the test stamp, the location of the force application point, and the size and location of the fixed attachment points will be determined by the engineer responsible for the design and indicated on the product drawing.

Test Conditions will be agreed upon deviations from the requirements of this standard. These requirements can be component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc. will be indicated on it.
