ISO 7637 Road Vehicles - Test Standard for Electrical Disturbances from Transmission and Connection

The ISO 7637 standard specifies test methods and procedures to ensure compliance with conducted electrical transients of equipment installed in passenger cars and commercial vehicles equipped with 12 V or 24 V electrical systems. Describes bench tests for both injection and measurement of transients. Applies to all types of road vehicles regardless of the propulsion system (eg spark ignition or diesel engine, electric motor).

The ISO-16750-2 won the unsuppressed and suppressed unload test strokes and already had its own version of the crank starting profile test stroke. This test pulse considers the electrical disturbance created by an electric motor similar to that of a blower motor in a heating and air conditioning system. As a result, it sends a relatively slow voltage pulse back into the electrical system until all the energy in its rotating mass is dissipated.
