The CE mark is placed on the pyrotechnic substance itself or, if this is not possible, on a label or on its packaging. The CE marking is accompanied by the identification number of the notified body responsible for monitoring. Labeling shall include the name of the manufacturer or, if the manufacturer is not established in the relevant market, the name of the importer.
Safety instructions can be displayed in pictograms or written text. If pictograms are shown, they must comply with relevant international standards, eg. ISO 701, ISO 2575, ISO 3864 (all parts). Labeling will include safety instructions provided by the manufacturer.
If the article does not provide sufficient space for labeling, mandatory information must be provided on the primary packaging. For semi-finished products, labeling requirements must be provided on the primary packaging.
