TPJLR 52.265 Standard Test Method for Accelerated Cyclic Corrosion

EUROLAB, with its state-of-the-art accredited laboratories and expert team, provides precise and fast testing services within the scope of TPJLR 52.265 testing. TPJLR.52.265 is a cyclic corrosion testing standard from JLR that applies to components, assemblies and subassemblies used in all JLR vehicles where the corrosion resistance (cosmetic or perforation) of metals and interacting materials must be evaluated.

TPJLR 52.265 Standard Test Method for Accelerated Cyclic Corrosion

The TPJLR.52.265 was developed primarily to allow assessment of the corrosion resistance of metals in environments where chloride ions from a marine source, such as sodium chloride or winter road de-icing salt, have a significant impact. This test is cyclical in nature, ie; test specimens are exposed to climates that change over time.

The test specimens to be evaluated are placed in a closed chamber and exposed to the changing climate. The 24-hour test cycle consists of a 25-hour wet phase at 2°C ±6°C with intermittent salt spray, a two-stage transitional phase (2,5 hours) with climate-controlled drying, and a 15.5-hour phase at constant temperature and humidity. .
