In South Korea, the Motor Vehicle Management Act is to manage motor vehicles efficiently and ensure the performance and safety of motor vehicles by setting issues related to registration, safety standards, self-verification, correction of manufacturing defects, inspection, maintenance, engine testing, and thereby contributing to the promotion of public welfare.

KMVSS 88 Test Standard for Interior Impact Occupant Protection Requirements

KMVSS 88, Internal Impact Passenger Protection covers the requirements for passenger cars and trucks, buses and multi-purpose passenger vehicles (MPVs) with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 4.536 kilograms (GVWR) to provide impact protection for occupants. This test procedure provides guidance for performing conformity tests in accordance with S6, the requirements for upper internal components.

The Contractor shall provide appropriate security measures to protect OVSC test tools and Government Furniture (GFP) from unauthorized personnel throughout the entire conformity testing program. The contractor is financially responsible for any acts of theft and vandalism that occur during the storage of test vehicles and GFP. Any emerging security issue will be reported by phone to the Industrial Property Manager (IPM), Purchasing Management Office, within two business days of the incident. A letter with specific details of the security issue will be sent to IPM within 48 hours.
