EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of the MAN M 3499-1 standard. This standard applies to Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) of electrical/electronic devices and components and subsystems for passenger cars and light commercial trucks.
This standard is evaluated according to the test procedures involved, refers to International EMC, standards where possible, but also describes internal test procedures if necessary. Specifies EMC requirements for all automotive products.
Validation results (Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV)) should only be obtained from test sites. Volkswagen allows processing in a laboratory for certain test procedures that are recognized through EMC laboratory recognition. This process replaces the old Automotive EMC Laboratory Recognition Program (AEMCLRP).
The preferred supplier and third-party commercial testing laboratories that must hold ISO 17020 accreditation must be an accreditation body accredited by Volkswagen.
