The purpose of this DBL is to provide suppliers, component managers, designers, and materials specialists with a guideline for the characteristics of material selection and manufacturing processes, starting from the pre-development stage, and information necessary for the evaluation of processes and other materials by certifying organizations (industrial safety and environmental protection departments) is provided.

The supplier confirms that Daimler has read the environmental protection guidelines and will comply with the content of these guidelines in all its activities.
The supplier will perform an analysis of the manufacturing processes, the substances/materials used and the environmental impact of the product. If a relevant environmental impact is identified, the supplier will appoint an environmental officer/environmental officer who will define the environmental objectives whose fulfillment will be documented and report to the company's general management.
