Standard Method for FCA PF 90010 Dust Test

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of FCA PF 90010 standard. This test will simulate the effects of dust ingress and evaluate component function degradation.

Standard Method for FCA PF 90010 Dust Test

Place the assembly in the oven at 110°C ± 2°C and feed the motor at 13 V measured at the fan motor electrical connector.

The supplier must specify limit temperatures for all materials used in critical parts of the engine, both for continuous and peak conditions. Particular attention should be paid to the sub-components involved in the connection between the shaft and the bushing/bearing system. The supplier shall specify the geometric dimensions, tolerances and physical properties of the materials for the coupling.

This list of critical parts, geometric parameters and physical properties to monitor will be defined during the sourcing phase. Fan motor subcomponents must be within their specifications before and after testing as per the supplier's statement. The supplier must declare all possible failure modes.

If any of the above parameters are out of specification, the fan motor will be considered damaged, and the test will be considered unsuccessful if any damage occurs that may affect the operation of the fan assembly. Meeting the operating point is not considered sufficient to pass the test.
