EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ISO 22733-1 standard. This standard specifies a method for evaluating the behavior of a vehicle equipped with an autonomous emergency braking system (AEBS) or dynamic brake support (DBS) during various accident scenarios.
These accidents occur when the vehicle under test (VUT) approaches another vehicle in the same lane while driving in a straight line. Both vehicles are aligned on the longitudinal axis to each other.
The most important part of vehicle behavior during these accident scenarios is its capacity to avoid or mitigate collisions.
Systems that require driver intervention are not covered by this document. Depending on the accident, only some of the scenarios can be used to evaluate performance. AEB system assessment based on this standard is limited to longitudinal accident scenarios.
