VM 75174-2 Vehicle Contacts - Slow Motion Tests

The purpose of this test is to record the characteristics of the connection between the line and the contact (crimp). Lines up to 4 mm² can be measured with already defined measuring device parameters. The lines must comply with the relevant standards.

Testing to this standard is not permitted, as it is possible for individual car manufacturers to change specifications. Instead, the supplier is obliged to ensure that the relevant car manufacturer already has the valid in-house standard. For individual internal standards, deviations from this standard are shown in italics. If modifications to individual test sections become necessary in individual cases, these must be agreed separately between the responsible Engineering Department and the affected manufacturer.

Once the entire measurement process has been completed, all current circuits and voltage circuits must be measured and documented again using two-point measurement. For this purpose, all measuring devices are removed and replaced with resistance measuring devices, one after the other.
