Flame retardant and water-oil repellent effects were obtained with the pad-dry-cure system in automotive fabrics. After functionalization of the fabrics, polyurethane-based foams were laminated to the treated automotive textiles.
In order to compare the test results and to determine the effects of the chemicals used on the functionality of the fabrics, the chemical amounts of the recipe were optimized and the results were discussed. Flame retardancy, water repellency and oil repellency tests were carried out before and after the abrasion tests.
