VW 44045 General Requirements

Approval of initial supply and modifications to VW 011 55, emission behavior according to VW 501 58, avoidance of hazardous substances according to VW 911 01 and 150 pieces weighing up to 10 g, 151 pieces more than 5 g for full testing finished piece weight is required.

The surface and interior of the finished parts must be free from defects and machining defects such as streamlines, voids, cracks or the like. Pit marks at the base of ribs and reinforcements are only permitted if they do not adversely affect the function or appearance of the part. Finished parts should allow for proper assembly.

The materials used must be physiologically safe. Substances emitted at high temperatures must be toxicologically safe.
