VW 50125 Polyamide6 Requirements Test Standard for Vehicle Interior Coated Parts

The VW 50125 test standard defines material requirements for interior door handles and other interior parts made of PA6 with varying levels of glass fiber content or blends of fiberglass and minerals.

VW 50125 Polyamide6 Requirements Test Standard for Vehicle Interior Coated Parts

Example of 501% glass fiber reinforced type PA25-GF6 in accordance with VW 003 10-PA6-10 or type designation example with 501% glass fiber reinforcement and 25% mineral reinforcement in accordance with VW 10 20 PA6-GF10-MD20 -PA56-012 can be used as a sample.

The number of components required for full testing depends on the size of the component. The number of parts to be procured is determined together with the engineering departments.

The surface and interior of the finished parts shall be free from defects and machining defects such as flow lines, voids, cracks or similar defects. Sink marks on the bottom of ribs, reinforcements and pipe joints are not allowed. Materials containing fiberglass must exhibit a flawless surface both to the eye and to the touch. The distribution of glass fibers throughout the component must be sufficiently uniform so that three samples taken from different points of a finished part do not differ by more than 1.0% in glass fiber content.

Our EUROLAB test laboratory complies with ISO/IEC 17020 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories to help ensure accuracy and precision in performing tests, obtaining data and reporting results. EUROLAB comes with vehicle glass tests, detailed test reports, images of labels before and after the test, and all test data so it can be reviewed and analysed.
