Corrosion Cycle Test Standard for VW PV 1210 Body and Fittings

This Test Specification is used for corrosion testing in specimen and standard production tests. It is performed on fully painted bodies, body panels, assemblies, anti-corrosion coatings and components with different properties. It covers monitoring and evaluating their corrosion behavior or corrosion protection measures.

Corrosion Cycle Test Standard for VW PV 1210 Body and Fittings

The test is an alternate cycle consisting of a combination of various climate or corrosion. VW PV 1210 test cycle 4 hours salt spray fog test according to DIN 50021-SS, 4 hours aging in standard climate DIN 50014–23/50-2 (including cooling phase), 16 hours humid aging at elevated air temperature, climate based on DIN 50017- KK(40 ± 3) ° C It consists of 100% humidity. After 5 cycles, it takes place in a 2-day rest phase.

Using this test method, corrosion behavior under salt, moisture and static load, temperature is evaluated. Under these defined corrosion conditions, different anti-corrosion coatings can be used comparatively. A correlation with the corrosion mechanism is not necessarily possible in the actual driving process, it is reflected by the varying corrosion load as vehicle damage types and corrosion curves are complex and not fully covered. A short pause in the test is permitted for inspection purposes or for the removal of test specimens.

Our EUROLAB test laboratory complies with ISO/IEC 17020 General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories to help ensure accuracy and precision in performing tests, obtaining data and reporting results. EUROLAB,
It comes with corrosion tests, detailed test reports, images of labels before and after testing, and all test data for review and analysis.
