Coating approval according to this specification is system specific; i.e. substrate, pre-treatment, base coat if needed for Polyester Cast Molding Compound (BMC) or metallic substrate, metallic layer and protective topcoat or colored topcoat. The metallic layer and in-chamber protective topcoat Hexamethyldisiloxane is not (HMDSO) material approved, only approved by Approved Paint on Plastics Systems (APOPS) or Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) testing.
