In the test, samples of certain mass and size are fixed in a 1 liter sealed Polyethylene bottle with distilled water and stored at constant temperature for a certain period of time. The bottles are then cooled and the dissolved formaldehyde in the distilled water is determined. The result is expressed as weight (mg/kg).
