EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance service within the scope of MIL STD 130L standard. Print quality for Data Matrix ECC200 barcodes on printed labels is based on the ISO/IEC 16022 specification.
Barcodes must be within the 7,5 to 15 mil nominal x size range. Rating will be at 660 nm +/-10 with a test aperture of 45 miles using 5 degree illumination from all four sides. Barcode must pass ISO/IEC 16022 criteria with B grades or better.
For Dot matrix, Laser, or Chemical Etched Data Matrix codes, the SAE AS9132 specification will be used. Grading is based on AS3 tables with a minimum cell size of 5mil, with cell size not less than 9132million in contract.
These systems will not only check barcode quality against appropriate specifications, but also check that data content complies with MIL STD 130 requirements.
