EN 62368-1 Audio, Video, Information and Communication Technology Equipment, Part 1: Standard for Security Requirements

EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 62368-1 standard. This part of EN 62368 is applicable to the safety of electrical and electronic equipment in the field of audio, video, information and communication technology and work and office machinery with a rated voltage not exceeding 600 V. This Standard does not contain performance requirements.

This part of EN 62368 also applies to:

• Components and sub-assemblies intended to be included in this equipment. Provided that complete equipment containing such components and subassemblies is suitable, such components and subassemblies need not comply with all the requirements of the standard;
• external power supply units intended to supply other equipment covered by this part of EN 62368;
• Accessories intended for use with equipment covered by this part of EN 62368;

This part of EN 62368 does not apply to power supply systems that are not an integral part of the equipment, such as engine-generator sets, battery backup systems and distribution transformers.

This part of EN 62368 specifies protections for ordinary persons, trained persons and skilled persons. Additional requirements may apply to equipment that is clearly designed or intended for use by children, or that is particularly attractive to children.
