Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) User Equipment (GUE) may operate as part of one or more Radio Navigation-Satellite Service (RNSS) systems in the RNSS frequency bands.

A GUE receives radio signals from one or more GNSS constellations for the purpose of radiodetermining an object's position, velocity and/or other properties, or obtaining information about these parameters through the propagation characteristics of radio waves. RNSS is defined as a "radiodetection-s atelid service used for radio-navigation".

The current standard applies to all GUE operating in bands with the ability to receive any GNSS constellation (eg BeiDou (BDS), Galileo, Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS), Global Positioning System (GPS), Space).
