The sample is mixed with deuterated internal standards, water and methanol, and the homogenate is centrifuged. An aliquot of the supernatant is filtered. An aliquot of the filtrate is analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) with mass spectrometric detection after positive electrospray ionization.
Take only the portion of the laboratory sample for which the maximum residue level applies. No other plant parts can be removed. A record of the plant parts removed will be kept. The sample prepared in this way is the test sample.
