EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of EN 15662 standard. This European standard specifies a method for the analysis of pesticide residues in foods of plant origin, such as fruits (including dried fruits), vegetables, cereals and many of their processed products, using GC, GC-MS(/MS) or .

Specimen handling and storage procedures should be shown to have no significant effect on residues present in the test specimen. Processing should also ensure that the test sample is sufficiently homogeneous for portion-to-portion (subsampling) variation to be acceptable.

If a single analytical partition is unlikely to represent the test sample, larger or repeated partitions should be analyzed to provide a better estimate of the true value. The degree of comminution should support a quantitative residue extraction.

Fragments that would complicate the homogenization process should be removed from each partially prepared test sample. Seeds will be removed in seeded fruits.

A record of the plant parts removed will be kept. Precautions should be taken to prevent the loss of juice or meat. Calculation of the residue will be based on the mass of the original test sample (including stones where necessary).
