EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ASTM B633 standard. This specification covers material and process requirements for electro-deposited zinc coatings applied to iron or steel articles to protect them from corrosion.
This specification is not intended to provide design activity with all the background necessary to properly determine zinc coating requirements.

Coatings are available in four standard thickness classes, coated or with one of five types of complementary finishes.
High-strength metals, including high-strength steels with a tensile strength greater than 1700 MPa (247 ksi, 46 HRC), should not be zinc electroplated in accordance with this specification.
Electrodeposit does not cover continuous operations for zinc-coated steel wire or sheets. For zinc electroplating of mechanical fasteners, the buyer is recommended to consider Specification F1941/F1941M.
