ASTM D6749 Standard Test Method for Pour Point of Petroleum Products

This test method involves determining the pour point of petroleum products with an automatic apparatus that applies a slight positive air pressure to the sample surface as the sample is cooled.

This test method is designed to cover the temperature range from -57 to +51°C; however, the temperature range included in the (1998) interlaboratory testing program only covered the temperature range from -51 to 11°C.

Test results from this test method can be determined at 1 or 3°C test intervals.
