EUROLAB laboratory provides testing and compliance services within the scope of ASTM C1378 standard. The ASTM C1378 test method aims to determine the resistance of ceramic tile surfaces to staining.
The tile samples are dried in the oven and then allowed to cool to room temperature. Add 5 mL of the desired chemical to a test tube. A sample is then placed face down in the mouth of the test tube and the assembly is inverted so that the test tube rests vertically on the tile. Each chemical is allowed to sit on the tile samples for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the assemblies are returned to their original positions and the reagents are emptied from the test tubes.
The tiles are then gradually cleaned using aggressive cleaning methods until the stain is gone. Each sample is visually inspected for differences in appearance between the exposed and exposed area of the tile.
