ASTM A416 Steel Wire, Seven Uncoated Wire Test Standard for Prestressed Concrete

Two types of yarn, low relaxation and tension relief (normal relaxation), low relaxation yarn should be considered the standard type. Stress relieved (normal relaxation) thread will not be laid unless specially ordered.

An additional requirement is provided for use where the 0.600 inch bond strength test is used. Diameter 270 Degree [1860] is required by the rope buyer for applications in prestressed ground anchors. The additional requirement applies only when specified in the purchase order.
