ASTM C1505 Standard Test Method for Determining Tensile Strength and Modulus of Shear

Each sample is loaded face up on two support bars. The loading bar is located midway between the two support bars. A load is applied at a constant rate of 145 psi per second until the specimen breaks.

This test results in the failure load as well as the breaking strength, average breaking strength and modulus of rupture of the specimens.
