This test method was developed using 1/16 to 1/8 inch diameter (0,159 to 0,318 cm) extruded catalyst and catalyst carriers and is limited to parts with a length-to-diameter ratio of 1:1 or greater. This test method is applicable to other diameters.
This test method is suitable for determining the average crush strength per millimeter in the range of 0 to 15 lbf/mm (0 to 65 N/mm).
